Our research mainly involves the design, control, and optimization of functional inorganic materials based on metal oxides and nitrides. The ultimate goal is to improve the performance of ferroelectric, ferromagnetic, display devices, and lithium batteries incorporating the above materials. Both experimental and theoretical studies are underway, including first-principles calculations based on density functional theory to further understand the materials on the atomic scale.
Currently, our work is mostly focused on the fabrication of high-mobility and high-stability oxide-based TFTs (thin-film transistors) for flexible and transparent display applications.
