Our group is interested in functional "soft" materials such as polymers, nanoparticles, and liquid crystals as well as their hybrid combinations (organic-inorganic hybrid nanomaterials) with the aim to control and induce novel physical (i.e. electronic, photonic, thermal, mechanical) responses in these materials.
Our research encompasses mostly various experimental approaches (design, synthesis, processing, characterization, and application) and simulation/theory on the basis of materials science, physics, and chemistry.
