Our research group is located in the School of Energy System Engineering at the Chung-Ang University. Our goal is not only enhancing the safety and reliability of complex energy systems but also developing clean and sustainable energy sources. The research themes focus on applied dynamics, multi-physics, and PHM theory with key technologies in the 4th industrial revolution including artificial intelligence and robotic systems. We blend novel methods and theories with fundamental experiments in dynamic systems from micro-scale to macro-scale.

Research interests include:

  • characterizing and modeling dynamics
  • predicting evolution of dynamic responses
  • developing diagnostic and prognostic algorithms

with application fields of energy storage systems, extreme robots, and renewable energy sources.
