Evolving Towards
4th Generation Mobile Communications
As Europe enters a new era in mobile communications, this major international conference will address a broad range of developments in advanced mobile communications technologies, systems and services in the context of emerging 3rd Generation mobile systems and their continued evolution towards 4th Generation systems.
The Mobile Communication Summit 2000 is the principal forum for disseminating results from European research in advanced mobile and personal communications systems and networks, including terrestrial and satellite systems.
Given the global nature of developments in this area, the conference will also provide a major opportunity for presentation of development activities from outside of Europe.
The Summit will address a broad range of issues relating to the development and evolution of future wireless and mobile communication systems and networks, including service platforms such as:
UMTS/ Satellite UMTS;
Broadband Interactive Multimedia Satellites;
Mobile Broadband Systems;
Broadband Wireless Local Loop;
Broadband Wireless LANs;
Broadband Fixed Wireless Access;
Multi-point Distribution Systems;
Digital Audio and Video Broadcasting
High Altitude Platforms
I participate in this conference and give a presentation under title "Inter-Segment Roaming - VIRTUOUS Approach"
