IEEE 국제학회 소속의 VCIP 국제학술대회는 매년 7~11월에 열리는 중요한 행사로서, 미국을 비롯한 세계 20여 개국에서 시각정보통신 분야의 200여명의 전문가들이 참여합니다. 이 학술대회에 선정된 논문은 IEEE Xplore에 실리기 때문에 논문선정율은 50퍼센트 이하입니다.
The International Conference on Visual Communications and Image Processing (VCIP), sponsored by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and supported by the Institute of Image Processing, School of Electronic Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, will be held in Chengdu during 27 - 30 Nov. 2016.
VCIP has served as a premier forum in SPIE and IEEE for the exchange of fundamental research results and technological advances in the field of visual communications and image processing since 1986. It provides a venue for leading engineers and scientists from around the world to advance the research frontiers in various areas of interest to VCIP.

IEEE VCIP 국제학술대회에 참여하여 시각정보통신 분야의 새로운 연구 내용을 파악하여 이를 국내 전문가들에게 알리고, 이 분야의 외국 전문인력을 발굴하여 국내로 초청하여 국제적인 학술교류 활동을 도모할 생각입니다. 저는 VCIP 국제학술대회에 자주 참여하여 논문을 발표했으며, 이번 VCIP 2016 국제학술행사에 한국 대표로 참석하여 Tutorial 강연을 할 예정입니다.
