유럽환경경제학회(EAERE)는 유럽 환경경제학회 중 가장 큰 규모의 학회로 해마다 규모가 늘어서 올해는 온라인으로 1,000여명의 환경경제학들이 참석할 것으로 예상하고 있다. 이 학회의 주요 관련분야는 다음과 같다. 이외에도 광범위한 환경경제학 분야를 다룬다.

코로나 시대를 맞이하여 원래는 독일 베를린에서 열리기로 계획한 학회가 온라인으로 열리게 되었다. 개최 안될까봐 노심초사 하였지만, 그래도 온라인으로 열리게 되어서 다행으로 생각하고 있다. 온라인 학회는 어떠한지 그 경험을 나누는 것도 의미있는 일이라 생각하게 되어서 신청하게 되었다.
글쓴이는 환경 및 에너지 혁신 경제학 분야에서 박사 과정을 받았으며, 현재 이탈리아의 RFF-CMCC European Institute for Economics & the Environment에서 에너지 혁신 경제학 분야에 관심을 가지고 연구하고 있다. 본 온라인 유럽환경경제학회에서 세계 여러 나라의 환경경제학자들과 함께 토론하고 교류할 수 있기에 특이한 경험을 KOSEN 멤버들과 공유하고자 학회 보고서를 신청하고자 한다.
