Protein sequence, secondary structure 를 알 수 있는 database 이용법

새의 깃털이나 파충류의 섬모에 나타나는 beta keratin이라는 물질에 대한 정보가 필요합니다. 제가 전공이 생물학이 아니라서 모르는 것이 많은데요. NCBI 데이터베이스를 찾아보면 beta keratin에 대한 sequence가 나오는데, 닭의 깃털, 발톱 등에서 나온 것이 대부분이더라고요. 그런데 논문을 보면 파충류나 다른 조류에서 발견된 beta keratin sequence에 대한 이야기도 나오는데, 그런 것은 그 데이터베이스에서 찾을 수 없는 건가요? 아니면 제가 뭔가 잘못찾은 건가요? 그리고 혹시 cross-beta structure의 atomic coordinate를 어디서 구할 수 있나요? 두서없는 질문 읽어주셔서 감사합니다.

You can find the structural information of a protein. I am not sure whether you are interested in this protein. Otherwise you can also find the sequence information on the beta keratin from this web site. Go to the “Expasy“ web site. If you have any sequence that you are interested in, you can also predict the secondary structure of protein. If some one solve the structure of protein, you can get the 3D structure from PDB database.
