In Lab of Liver Research, we are studying on the mechanisms of liver diseases and metabolic diseases including alcoholic fatty liver (steatosis), hepatic inflammation, fibrosis/cirrhosis, tumors, obese and diabetes
We are trying to develop specific mice model of liver disease which mimic human itself. We isolate each individual hepatic cells (hepatocytes, hepatic stellate cells, Kupffer cells and NK cells) to investigate independent or reciprocal action between these cells in progression of liver disease. In addition, we are focusing and initiating on translational research between bedside and bench side.
Ultimately, we would like to find therapeutic target to prevent or diminish the burden of chronic liver disease.
