Research Interests
The CIC research group focuses on the integration of automated data acquisition, systemic analysis, and information visualization in support of decision-making during a construction project. The research interests lie in the in-depth understanding of human behavior and social interaction from a systems point of view in a built environment as well as in a construction operation. The research topics specifically include the following areas:
- Human motion sensing and ergonomic analysis for health and safety
- BIM-oriented mixed reality for operation analysis and visualization
- GIS-based spatial data processing for civil infrastructure analysis
- 3D modeling of a human and a built environment for workplace design
- System dynamics and reliability for modeling and analysis of complex systems
