The Draft White Paper is organised into six main themes : Business Climate and Mineral Development, which looks at the continuation of policy conducive to investment and includes a section of Mineral Rights and Prospecting Information which pressents changes to the system of access to, and mobility of, mineral rights ; Participation in Ownership and Management, which examines racial and other imbalances in the industry ; People Issues, which looks at health and safety, housing needs, migrant labour, industrial relations and downscaling ; Environmental Management ; Regional co-operation ; and Governance. Each chapter and subchapter contains a general background to the particular issue, a statement of intent(policy objective), the views of the differenct stakeholders and, finally, the policy statements by Government.

In order to improve the Operating Experience Exchange Programs nuclear industry requested the international organisations for common approach on a set of nuclear power plant operating indicators. As a result, World Association of Nuclear Operators(WANO) Plant Performance Indicators Program defines ten operating indicators that in a broad sense demonstrate nuclear power plant operation in aspects of safety, reliability, installation, performance, waste generation, personnel safety, etc. This report provides the results of ten international performance indicators defined by World Association of Nuclear Operators(WANO) and ten additional indicators through the calendar year 1998.

The Purpose of the present list of technical cooperation projects is to provide representatives of Member States, as well as the Secretariat, with a convenient reference not only for use during discussion at the sessions of the Industrial Development Board and Programme and Budget Committee, but throughout the year. This document provides various project data, including project number and title, approval date, budget and delivery. The delivery figure represents expenditures and commitments incurred through 31 December 1998. Each project budget figure reflects the life-span budget of the projects, rather tnan the budget of the project during the reporting year. The list is broken down by project status, thus grouping projects according to whether they were completed or newly approved in 1998, or are ongoing from previous years. Projects are listed in their original language, as approved by the Government involved and UNIDO, under the recipient country/area/territory and, within each country, projects are sorted according to their project number. The document also includes listings of regional, interregional and global projects, also accrding to project number. Multifund projects, where various funding sources exist for the same projects, are listed with their respective multiple project numbers, the project title and the total amounts of various funding sources. For umbrella projects-for example those projects where donor financing covers various projects-only the individual projects are listed.
