Mechanochemical way for preparation of disordered lithium-manganese spinel compounds 스크랩

It was shown that the mechanochemically prepared compounds are characterized by high dispersion, strongly compressed lattice, the increased amount of Mn (4+) ions and two types of disordering (cation vacancies and cation mixing). The amount of defects and dispersion of product decreases and the crystallinity increases with the temperature of the following thermal treatment. The nature of reagents and the conditions of mechanical activation (MA) influence on parameters of spinel, especially at moderate temperatures.

The X-ray absorption near-edge structures (XANES) of Mn and Cr as a function of x showed that the 4 V plateau of the material can be ascribed to the oxidation of Mn3+ to Mn4+, and Cr does not contribute to the charging, but to the stabilization of the spinel structure against the delithiation. The extended EXAFS analysis of Li1-x(Mn, Cr)2O4 revealed that the Jahn-Teller distorted Mn3+-O octahedra become uniform when the cell is fully charged.

The electrochemical performances are strongly dependent on the heat-treatment of the Li-exchanged compound obtained after the ion-exchange procedure. The best results are obtained for the sample heat-treatment at 300˚C and which corresponds to a mixture of a spinel phase (a=8.16Å) and a lamellar phase. Galvanostatic cycling tests in the potential window 4.2/2 V show that a stable capacity of 155 mAh/g is achieved after 20 cycles performed at C/20 rate.

ETAPS 2002 (European Joint Conference on Theory And Practice of Software) 스크랩

◆ 회의개요 ETAPS는 유럽에서 매년 열리는 전산학 이론 관련 학회 중 가장 대규모이다. 이번 ETAPS 2002의 경우 9일 동안 개최되었는데, 메인 학회로는 CC (Compiler Construction), ESOP (European Symposium on Programming), FASE (Fundamental Approaches to Software Engineering), FOSSACS (Foundations of Software Science and Computation Structures), TACAS (Tools and Algorithms for the Construction and Analysis of Systems) 의 5개 학회와 13개의 워크샵, 9개의 튜토리얼이 있었다. 전산학 이론 분야를 크게 나누면, 알고리즘 중심의 이론 분야와 프로그램 분석 관련 분야로 나눌 수 있는데, 이 학회는 프로그램 분석 관련 학회라 할 수 있다. 프로그램 분석 분야는 유럽에서도 미국만큼이나 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 물론 그렇다고 단순히 프로그램 분석만을 위해 열린 것은 아니고, 프로그램 분석에 관련된 전반적인 이론과 실제를 다룬다. 이 학회의 또 다른 특징은 프로그램 언어 분야뿐 아니라 소프트웨어 공학분야, 정형기법 분야 등 이론 연구자들이 모두 모여 유사하면서도 서로 다른 부분의 연구를 접할 수 있는 기회가 된다는 점이다. ◆ 이 학회의 보고서는 한국과학기술원 (KAIST)의 김태호님께서 수고해 주셨습니다. 궁금하신 점은 김태호님께 문의하시기 바랍니다. e-mail : thkim@salmosa.kaist.ac.kr

◆ 회의개요 ELRA는 “유럽 언어자원 협회”로 동 협회의 언어자원 배포 전담기구인 ELDA와 공동으로 2년마다 LREC(언어자원 및 평가회의) 국제학회를 개최하고 있으며, 금년에는 제3회로 대서양의 스페인령 카나리아섬 라스팔마스에서 열렸다.원래는 유럽 중심의 학회였지만, 현재는 미국과 아시아, 동유럽 등에서도 참여하는 명실공히 세계적인 학회로 발전하였는데, 그 이유는 언어자원에 관해 특화된 본 학회의 성과가 다중언어 사회인 유럽에서 세계적인 기술을 선도하고 있으며, 현재의 추세가 언어자원의 구축이 국제공동 협력 차원에서 추진되었을 때, 효율적이며 국제 경쟁력을 가지게 되었다는 인식에서 비롯되었다.이번 회의는 언어자원(코퍼스와 사전, 온톨로지를 포함)의 구축 및 평가로 나뉘어, 특히 각각 문어, 구어 데이터 분야로 나뉘어 실시되었다. 약 700여명의 인원이 참석할 만큼 성황리에 진행되었다. ◆ 이 학회의 보고서는 한국과학기술원의 신효식님께서 수고해 주셨습니다. 궁금하신 점은 신효식님께 문의하시기 바랍니다. e-mail : gerling@world.kaist.ac.kr

◆ 회의개요 PDPTA는 매년 개최되는 컴퓨터 사이언스 분야의 국제 멀티학술대회 중 하나이다. 금년에는 네바다주 라스베가스에서 6월 24일부터 27일까지 4일간 개최되었으며, 24일 오전에 본 학술대회의 의장인 Dr. Arabnia의 멀티학술대회 기조연설을 시작으로 두 개의 keynote lecture가 이어졌다. 총 30개의 세션과 4개의 토의 세션을 통해 330 여 편의 논문이 발표되었으며, 본 학술대회와 동시에 컴퓨터 사이언스 분야의 다른 13 학회가 개최되었다. 약 50% 정도가 미국에서, 나머지 50% 정도가 미국 외의 국가에서 발표되었으며, 각 논문은 두 명의 검토자에 의해 검토되었다. 전체 논문 수락율은 약 32%였다. ◆ 이 학회의 보고서는 한국전력연구원의 장문종님께서 수고해 주셨습니다. 궁금하신 점은 장문종님께 문의하시기 바랍니다. e-mail : mjjang@kepri.re.kr
