Environmentally Benign Manufacturing(Final Report) 스크랩

This report reviews the status of "environmentally benign manufacturing"(EBM) technologies, applications, and policies in Europe and japan in comparison to those in the United States. Topics covered include metals and metal manufacturing, polymers, automotive applications, electronics, and energy-related issues. In addition to reviewing specific technologies and applications in the above areas, the report covers broader issues of governmnet policies affecting environmental issues in manufacturing, corporate strategies and vision with respect to these issues, economic drivers influencing the development of EBM, and relevant research infrastructure. The panel's findings include the following: Europe leads in most governmental activities, Japan in industrial activities, and the results for research and development are mixed. The United States leads in financial and legal liability concerns, water conservation, decreased industrial releases to air and water, and research in polymers and long term electronics, but follows in all other areas. In the area of university educational activities, and both industry and government sponsorship of these, it is clear that Europe leads, followed by the United States and then Japan. Overall, therefore, the United States ranks third behind Europe and Japan. Additional findings are outlined in the panel's executive summary.

Microelectronics 분야에서 특히 e-beam lithography를 위한 resist의 응용 뿐아니라, metallization의 대체 재료로서의 가능성, 금속의 방지막으로서의 응용성, 그리고 EDS-방지막으로서의 응용에 대하여 심도있게 논하고 있어, 반도체 분야의 재료 연구자들에게 큰 도움이 될만한 분석자료이다. 분석자 서평: 이 논문은 비록 엄밀한 의미에서 학술논문은 아닐지라도 최근 각광 받고 있는 전도성 고분자가 실질적으로 어떻게 쓰일 수 있는지를 구체적으로 보여 주어 이 분야에서 처음 일을 시작하려는 연구자들이나 관련 연구자들의 시야를 넓힐 수 있는 좋은 입문서로 생각된다. 사실 한 분야의 연구를 시작할 때 대부분 왜 그 연구를 수행해야 되는지에 대한 동기(motivation)가 없이는 좋은 결과를 기대할 수 없다. 요즘처럼 과학적 연구가 기술과 밀접하게 관련되어 있는 때에 ‘산이 그저 있으므로 산을 오른다 = 그저 과학이 있으므로 연구한다’기 보다는 실질적인 응용을 찾고 있는 것이 현실이다. 또 이 논문은 많은 관련 참고문헌을 싣고 있어 깊이 있는 내용을 위한 이들에게 유용하다고 생각된다. 이 자료의 분석은 동경농공대학의 이희정박사님께서 수고해 주셨습니다. 궁금하신 점은 박사님께 문의하시기 바랍니다 e-mail : hclees@hanmail.net 첨부. 제 7차 국제 다모류 학회 스크랩

학술회의 개요: 해양에 서식하는 생물들 가운데 종수와 개체수로써 매우 중요한 동물군인 해양 갯지렁이류(다모류)에 관하여 연구하는 해양 생물학자들의 국제학술대회인International Polychaete Conference 는 3년마다 개최되는데 이번에 7번째를 맞이하여 아이스랜드 국립자연사박물관과 아이스랜드대학의 주최로 아이스랜드Reykjavik 의 국제회의장 에서 2001년 7월 2일부터 6일까지 열렸다. 모두 26 개국에서 160여명이 참가하였으며 3년 동안 전세계에서 진행되고 있는 다모류와 관련된 연구 동향을 한눈에 알 수 있었으며 해양에는 국경이 없듯이 학술 대회 동안 매우 활발한 학술 교류가 있었다. 52편의 구두 연구발표와 99개의 포스터 연구발표가 있었다. 구두 발표와 포스터 발표 모두 Sessions 구분 없이 진행되었는데 발표된 연구 분야는 크게 계통 분류학적 연구와 생태학으로 크게 나눌 수 있었다. 이 학회의 리포트는 프랑스 Laboratoire Arago, Observatoire Oceanologique de Banyuls, CNRS에 계시는 고병설님께서 수고해 주셨습니다. 궁금하신 점은 고병설님께 문의하시기 바랍니다. e-mail : bskoh@arago.obs-banyuls.fr 첨부 .Interational Polychaete Conference - etoile.doc
