1) 자료명 ; Mechanical Recycling of PVC Wastes 2) 저자 ; Prognos (Switzerland), Plastic Consult (Italy), COWI (Denmark) 3) 출판사 ; European Commission, DG XI. 4) 출판날짜 ; 2000년 1월 5) 내용소개 ; 이 연구서는 PVC 폐기물을 기계적인 방법으로 Recycling을 하고 있는 현재 상황뿐만 아니라 현존하는 PVC 폐기물을 Recycling하는 방법들을 자세히 서술하고 있다. 전 유럽공동체 15개국을 대상으로 한 이 연구서에는 PVC를 기계적인 방법으로 Recycling 하였을 때의 경제적, 기술적, 환경적 측면의 평가가 수록되어 있다. 또한 미래의 PVC 폐기물 발생량과 회수량이 여러 시나리오를 통하여 예측되어 있고 PVC Recycling을 높이기 위한 국가별, 공동체별 대책들이 열거되어 있다. 분석자 서문 중: 본 보고서는 이러한 시점에서 PVC폐기물을 기계적으로 재활용하는 방법에 대한 기술적, 경제적, 환경적 분석과 함께 향후 2020년까지의 폐기물 발생량과 재활용량에 대한 예측을 담고 있다. Prognos사의 주관으로 이탈리아의 Plastic Consult사, 덴마크의 COWI사가 참여하였으며, 2000년 1월에 발표되었다. 14개 EU국가들(오스트리아, 벨기에, 덴마크, 프랑스, 핀란드, 독일, 그리이스, 이탈리아, 아일랜드, 네덜란드, 포르투갈, 스페인, 스웨덴, 영국)을 대상으로 하고 있고, ECVM (European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers), EuPC(European Association of Plastics Converters)를 포함, 각국의 PVC생산자들과 이들의 연합체 및 관련 전문가들의 인터뷰내용을 바탕으로 하고 있다. The Academy of Finland gives a general review of the state and quality of scientific research in the country once during the three year term of its research councils. Research funding has increased substantially since the previous review in 1997. This, the second review describes the development of the finnish science system in the latter half of the 1990s as well as the quality, output and impact of scientific research. The report looks at scientific research in Finland and at the environment in which it operates from the vantage-point of the science system as a whole. Thus, instead of systematically exploring the situation in individual disciplines or fields of research, the report takes a broader view on the question of how the changes in the research environment have affected research. International comparison receives much attention : issues of science policy, research funding and research output, for instance, are discussed in relation to other OECD countries. Contents 1. 이 Conference Report는 과학기술부를 통해 입수된 것으로 경상대학교 공과대학 재료공학부 김기원 교수님께서 과학기술부에 제출한 해외학술회의 참석보고서입니다 소개 : 본 학술회의에서 발표된 논문은 총 25편이며 이중 일본의 연구자들이 13편 한국에서 12편이 발표되었으며 그 내용은 본문에 요약 소개되어 있음. 이 학술회의는 한·일간 첨단전지 연구분야에 종사하는 교수 및 연구원들간의 정기적인 기술 및 정보교류를 목적으로 하여 2년마다 한국과 일본에서 번갈아 개최되는 회의이다. 특히 올해 개최된 학술회의는 현재 차세대 2차전지로서 각광 받고 있는 리튬/폴리머 전지에 관련된 연구발표가 많아 최근의 연구동향을 파악하고 일본 내 관련 전문가들과 직접 접촉하여 정보교환을 함으로써 본 연구자의 연구개발에 큰 도움이 된 좋은 기회였다고 생각된다. 첨부한 학술회의 참석 보고서 파일을 다운받아 보시기 바랍니다 첨부. 제23회 연료 및 화학제품 생산을 위한 생물공학 학술대회 스크랩

개요: 본 학회는 올해로 23주년을 맞는 주로 식물성 자원을 일컫는 바이오매스(biomass)로부터 각종 생물에너지 및 유용한 화학제품 생산을 위한 생물공학에 대한 연구결과 및 정책을 발표하는 국제 학회이다. 본 학회는 본래 바이오매스로부터 생물에탄올을 생산하는 것을 위한 학술발표회로 출발하여 점차 그 영역을 넓혀오고 있다. 현재는 미국의 에너지부 소속의 국립 연구소인 오크리지 국립연구소(ORNL)와 국립재생에너지 연구소(NREL)가 번갈아가면서 ORNL의 소재지인 테네시 주와 NREL의 소재지인 콜로라도 주에서 매년 주최해 오고 있다. 올해는 NREL의 주최로 콜로라도의 록키산중의 브리켄리지의 휴양지에서 개최되었다. 올해는 특히, 작년 8월에 미국 클린턴 대통령에 의해 선포된 생물에너지 및 생물성 산업제품 생산 촉진을 위한 행정명령의 결과로 관련 산업계와 미국 에너지부, 농무부 등에서 작년보다 훨씬 많은 인원이 참석하는 등, 올해에 300여명의 논문 발표자를 비롯한 총 500여명의 관계자들이 참석하였다. 이 학회의 보고서는 미국 에너지성의 National Renewable Energy Laboratory에 계신 김경헌박사님께서 수고해 주셨습니다. 궁금하신 점은 박사님께 문의하시기 바랍니다. e-mail : khekim@NREL.GOV 첨부 .23rd Biotech Sym Fuel Chemicals - Kim kyoungheon.doc

The U.S. Department of Energy(DOE) is building a very large laser facility to provide scientific support for its program to maintain the safety, reliability, and performance levels of the nation's stockpile of nuclear weapons in the absence of nuclear testing. This National Ignition Facility(NIF), which is designed to simulate the behavior of nuclear explosions, is under construciton at DOE's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory(LLNL).
