궁금하신 점은 이병대 님께 문의하시기 바랍니다 e-mail : blee@cs.umn.edu 첨부 .The Grid - Lee byungdae.pdf .Teh Grid - Original.pdf

◆ Nuclear nonproliferation : DOE's efforts to secure nuclear material and employ weapons scientists in Russia - The Department Energy has reduced the risk of theft for about 32 percent of the nuclear material in Russia, but hundreds of metric tons of material remain unprotected - DOE faces challenges in adhering to MPC & a program's cost projections and time frames - DOE's nuclear cities initiative projects have had limited impact - Majority of Nuclear cities program funds have been spent in the united states - Duplication has occurred in the operation of DOE's two programs in Russia's nuclear cities ◆ Department of Energy : Views on the progress of the national nuclear security administration in implementing title 32 - NNSA's Reorganization holds promise, but important challenges remain - NNSA is taking steps to improve its planning, programming, and budgeting, but much remains to be done - NNSA is developing plans to use the personnel authority granted under title 32

Boeing Airbus : Size, Speed, and Subsidies 스크랩

  • John W. Fischer

The longstanding dispute between the United States and Europe over public subsidies for the aeronautics industry, also known as state-aids, is once again receiving congressional attention. This time, however, the focus of attention goes beyond competition between Boeing and Airbus for the world's commercial jet aircraft market. The long-term health of the whole United States aeronautics industry also appears to be an issue, as Europe calls for an ever larger public investment in its prowing aeronautics industrial and technology base. On December 19, 2000, Airbus announced that it had formally launched a program to construct the world's largest commercial passenger aircraft, the A380. In the spring of 2001, Boeing dropped its support of a competing new large aircraft, opting instead to focus on the development of a new class of higher speed commercial aircraft. The Airbus action could reopen a long-standing trade dispute between the United States and Europe about subsidization of aircraft project. Taken in the context of a number of other actions, or in some cases inactions, by the European Union(EU) and individual member nations, the subsidy issue heightens concern that the EU is pursuing an increasingly aggressive public investiment policy in support of its aeronautics industry.

  • 과학기술과 인문사회

The Administration is requesting $116.4 million in FY2002 to begin refueling and converting two Trident ballistic missile submarines(SSBNs) into cruise-missile-carrying and special oprations forces(SOF) support submarines(SSGNs). ?Under the Administration's plan, another two Trident SSBNs that are available for refueling and conversion would be inactivated and dismantled. The issue for Congress is whether to approve, reject, or modify the Administration's FY2002 request for the Trident SSGN conversion program. The House Armed Services Committee has recommended $167.4 million in FY2002 for the program. This report supercedes CRS Report RL30045 and will be updated as events warrant

This study's objectives are to (1) show how record linkage generates new statistical and research information, (2) review a number of relevant privacy issues, (3) illustrate the kinds of techniques that might be included in a "privacy protection toolbox" for record linkage, and (4) explore a sampling of strategies for data stewardship. The scpe of this study is limited to record linkage for statistics and research. Statistics involves developing quantitative information through enumeration, measurement, analysis, and dissemination. This information is developed by federal agencies to describe the social, economic, and general conditions of the nation. Research use individual data during the analytical process but present findings in aggregate form.
